In Khorezm, two employees of Khorazm Suv Taminoti died after being poisoned by poisonous gases in a sewer well.
On June 26, at about 20:00, at sewage pumping station No. 1 on the territory of the Oltin Kul SGM, Urgench district, Khorezm region, 2 employees descended into the well to clean the pump of the sewage pumping station.
“According to preliminary data, they died on the spot from poisoning with toxic gas (hydrogen sulfide),” Khorazm Suv Taminoti LLC said in a statement.
It is noted that employees did not comply with safety precautions and personal protection rules.
This fact is under investigation.
Comments:
- Employees did not comply with safety regulations. Has anyone ever explained it to them? Did you get protective suits? Masks or gas masks? Everyone in Tashkent works like that in hatches without a thing. We need to dig deeper and not throw everything off on the dead poor fellows
- When will they make special protection for workers? When will it be made mandatory?
- In my experience, in rare cases, they observe safety precautions, and in general, simple hard workers have never been given masks, helmets, gloves, etc.
- Each person has his own head on his shoulders and each is responsible for himself. Most likely this happened from ignorance of what this could lead to. It is not always necessary to shift responsibility to officials (I do not take their side)
Workers could refuse to purge if they were informed, because no one would risk their lives for a paycheck or for fear of being fired.
- First of all, officials are to blame, of course now they will blame the dead in order to absolve themselves of responsibility. It’s easy to argue if there were signs “workers needed” everywhere, but if there is a shortage of work and you have children, then people are forced to work without insurance and without protective equipment. And most likely they did not conduct safety training and did not issue protective equipment. These leaders must be judged to answer for the death of people.
